TRANSFORM YOUR HOME WITH TILES: A GUIDE TO VIBRANT UPDATES
Choosing the right tile layout, and color-way can transform the look and feel of a room. Whether you're updating a kitchen backsplash, bathroom floor, or entryway, selecting the perfect pattern can make a significant impact. Below are some of our favorite projects designed by us along with some tips to consider for your future remodel.
THE STRAIGHT LAY PATTERN
The straight lay pattern, also known as grid or stack bond, is the simplest and most common. Tiles are laid in a straight line, creating a clean, modern look. This layout works well with any tile size and is perfect for showcasing intricate tile designs or bold colors. Pro tip: For a bolder aesthetic mix the straight lay tiles with a contrasting, intricate pattern on an adjacent surface or wall.
FEATURE WALLS
Creating a feature wall with colored tiles can serve as the focal point of your bathroom. Opt for rich hues such as royal blue, emerald green, or striking black for an instant wow factor. These bold colors add depth and a dramatic edge, transforming even the simplest bathrooms into statement spaces. Pro Tip: Keep the rest of the room neutral to let the feature wall shine, just as we did in our "Spa Treatment" bathrooms below.

MONOCHROME
A single color used throughout a bathroom can be striking and cohesive. Consider geometric shapes for a bold look. Monochromatic designs can make your bathroom feel more expansive and unified. Pro tip: Add contrast with colorful plumbing and lighting fixtures. If that isn't feasible, bright floral arrangements are a great way to add warmth.
