Collected Studio was founded in 2018 by Julianne Schaefer, seasoned interior designer and tastemaker, as a full-service design firm. Since then, it has evolved into a lifestyle brand offering products tailored to the design of your home. Collected Studio’s mission is to curate beautiful environments that transform everyday moments into extraordinary experiences. We imbue each space with purpose and beauty, elevating home, hospitality and workplace into a truly exquisite experience.
Founder + Principal
Julianne Schaefer is a seasoned interior designer and tastemaker with rich family history in retail, design and luxury home interiors dating back to the post-war era when her Aunt Marjorie and Uncle Paul opened the first home furnishings and fabrics design showroom in Seattle. It was not long before she joined her father Warren when she was 13, on merchandising trips to Goldman’s, a chain of women’s apparel stores he founded in the 1970s.
Julianne’s design and retail background launched her career as an award-winning buyer at Macy’s in the early 2000s. She continued her successful career at Bay Area interior design firms Gensler, and Smithgroup. Julianne has designed over 30 homes and commercial projects and has been recognized by International Interior Design Association, Fireclay Tile and Best of Marin County 2024. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to start her own design studio in 2013, launch her lifestyle brand Collected Studio in 2018, and open her online shop in 2024.
She currently lives in Belvedere with her husband Jonas and their daughter Jacqueline. She is active in her local community, supporting recreation and local schools.
